Invite inspirational volunteers into your school to judge a project or an activity.

What is a Challenge/Competition?

A Competition or Challenge Event is a fitting end to a project in which young people use a group activity to solve a real-life business challenge, for example, pitch an idea for a new venture, or develop a new product concept. We connect you with local business volunteers to judge the efforts of young people and provide feedback.

The format/content of the competition must be pre-arranged or developed by the school.

What is the impact of a Challenge/Competition?

Competitions are a helpful way of structuring cross-curricular, or single subject, projects as they provide a clear target for young people giving tangible purpose and direction.

The ability to pitch an idea is a key transferable skill to any career path. Giving young people the opportunity to prepare and practice their pitching skills to real-life business leaders and receive feedback is valuable experience.

An extra-curricular experience of deadlines and feedback also validates the methodology of the school setting whilst providing an insight into the world of work.
