Founders4Schools launches new product feature
21 Jan 2015

Founders4Schools unveil their new search function that makes it even more compelling for teachers to connect what students learn in the classroom with success stories from ‘real life’ business leaders.

Students across the UK will be benefiting from a service enhancement that enables teachers to invite leading business founders into their classrooms based on the subjects they studied.

In a bid to address any misalignment between the quality and quantity of information children receive about careers and the jobs available when they leave education, the Founders4Schools ‘career insight’ programme allows teachers to select local subject specific business founders into their classrooms to speak to children aged 8+ about how subjects the children study have helped them after they graduated and chose to run a business.

These leading business founders are within a five mile radius of the school, often working in the science and technology sectors and have businesses that are growing. They are a perfect match for any school wanting to help ensure children are prepared for the jobs and aware of the growth sectors that will be relevant when they leave education. In turn this will help ensure the UK’s future growth in the global economy.

Students aged 8+ benefit from:

  • Real-life role models who can demonstrate the relevance and connection of what is taught in classroom with careers - because they are creating the jobs right now!
  • Contact with real business leaders in the local area (and possibly work experience providers)
  • The opportunity to consider business as a viable career choice
  • Gaining an understanding of what jobs created today actually entail from the creators!
Founders4Schools is a great way for the next generation to hear and hopefully be inspired by successful individuals. Everyone's story and journey to success is unique and it's amazing for the children to hear the different ways they too could achieve their ambitions.Louis Georgiou from Code Computerlove
