The event was created by Anca Ionescu for 50 students at Dixons Fazakerley Academy aged Age 11 - 18.

Event description

Maths4Girls Event- This session is delivered virtually via Zoom.

Speakers Profile:

Suezann Holmes - Independent NED, Board Advisor, Portfolio CFO. She is a Wharton MBA with over two decades of financial leadership. Following an executive career at PWC / Booz & Company, Alvarez & Marsal, Virgin Media and Moo.com, She has transitioned to NED, CFO portfolio and venture capital advisory roles for high growth technology companies.

Fiona Rutherford - Senior Consultant at Watson Millican & Co.. Fiona is a chemical engineer and has an MBA from Chicago Booth with over 30 years experience in the oil and gas industry in both technical and commercial roles. Fiona has worked for companies including Exxon and Shell and is currently an independent consultant providing expert witness services in Construction disputes.

Maths4Girls events feature role models who work within finance, investment and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Maths) industries to talk about how they use Maths Skills in their every day working lives.

• These events help students learn about a range of attributes to boost employability, to develop enterprise opportunities and to prepare for the world of work.


• In addition to this, students will gain an in-depth understanding of why skills such as resilience, conflict resolution, communication and independence are important within the workplace.
