Speakers Profile:

Esther Wershof- Dr Esther Wershof is a research scientist at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York, having previously obtained her PhD in mathematical biology at The Francis Crick Institute/Imperial College in London. Esther studied maths at university and took the leap into medical research after realising that stopping the spread of disease was fundamentally a maths problem. She spends her time trying to understand how to confine cancer in the body to improve chances of survival.

Ersilia Molnar - Chief Operating Officer - Europe at Muzinich & Co + Board director + NED.Ersilia has over twenty years of financial industry experience across asset management, insurance underwriting and fintech. She often speaks at industry events about Diversity & Inclusion and the need to attract and retain more women in tech and financial services.

Amanda Pullinger - Chief Executive Officer at 100 Women in Finance. Amanda Pullinger is the Chief Executive Officer of 100 Women in Finance (formerly 100 Women in Hedge Funds.) She was promoted to this position on Jan 1, 2014. Previously, she consulted as Executive Director for six years. She leads a small staff team and manages over 500 volunteer practitioners globally, overseeing the operations of the organization, which now has over 15,000 members in 23 locations.

The event will be Moderated by Sherry Coutu, CBE and founder of Founder4Schools as well as a successful serial entrepreneur and board member of organisations including Raspberry Pi and the London Stock Exchange.

Maths4Girls events feature role models who work within finance, investment and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Maths) industries to talk about how they use Maths Skills in their every day working lives.


  • These events help students learn about a range of attributes to boost employability, to develop enterprise opportunities and to prepare for the world of work.

  • In addition to this, students will gain an in-depth understanding of why skills such as resilience, conflict resolution, communication and independence are important within the workplace.
