Maths4Girls Encounter- This Event will take place via Zoom

Speakers Profile:

Sarah Wallace - Finance Professional working as Deputy Director in HM Courts and Tribunals Service (HMCTS). After leaving school at 16, she continued her education until she became a Chartered Management Accountant. In 2010, she left the private sector to join the Civil Service working now for the Ministry of Justice. She has worked in a number of industries including Waste Management, IT consultancy, travel and tourism and manufacturing, and brought this experience in her current role as Financial Controller at HMCTS where she leads financial and management accounting as well as operational finance (paying suppliers, and expenses, wages and salaries to staff, the magistracy and judiciary).

Emma Maslen - Coach & Founder at inspir'​em ltd. An energetic sales leader with an authentic approach building successful teams to drive value-based enterprise software sales. Currently working for SAP Concur, driving customer satisfaction through building & developing collaborative teams, creating & driving go to market campaigns and ensuring value-based sales execution. Helping to drive diversity in Tech working as an Ambassador for with Tech London Advocates on the Women in Tech initiative.

Maths4Girls events feature role models who work within finance, investment and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Maths) industries to talk about how they use Maths Skills in their every day working lives.


  • These events help students learn about a range of attributes to boost employability, to develop enterprise opportunities and to prepare for the world of work.

  • In addition to this, students will gain an in-depth understanding of why skills such as resilience, conflict resolution, communication and independence are important within the workplace.

Age Appropriacy: This type of event is appropriate for any student aged 5 through 24. Refer to our white paper pages 9 and 11 for more details. This white paper summarizes more than 100 externally validated research papers on career pathways for students.
