Encounters organised via the Founders4Schools and SDS partnership are initially analysed via an internal report which highlights School, the date the event was Created and the scheduled encounter date. The number of Student-Employer Encounters (SEE) is also shown; this is calculated by multiplying the class size attending the encounter by the number of speakers. Only encounters which have the status ‘confirmed’, ‘finalized’ or ‘completed’ are included. SEE are then aggregated by Month [using Date Created].

In-page statistics

The SEE figure (class size attending the encounter multiplied by the number of speakers), number of Business Leaders (Speakers at an encounter) and the number of young people affected (those attending the encounters) are shown, using the same encounter status filters as described above.

SDS - Young People Engaged in Encounters chart

The number of Young People participating in Encounters within Scotland is displayed, from January 2017 onwards. The count of Young People is equivalent to the ‘Class Size’ of pupils attending an event. Class Sizes are aggregated by calendar month and split by Source (either the F4S network or SDS network) The percentage of total Pupils per Source, by Month is shown on the first chart A stacked bar chart of the absolute Pupils total, by Source by Month, is shown on the second chart.
