Here at Girls' High, we are hosting a Careers Morning and a Careers Afternoon on the 10th and 11th of November respectively, which will consist of a number of guest speakers giving presentations about career opportunities, a day in the life of a particular career, common questions, etc., as well as the variety of further education and higher education opportunities available to them.
It would be my honour to offer you a space in one or both of our careers events this year. As we are an all-girls school, we wanted to have a specific segment dedicated to the wonderful and varied careers that women can have, some of which many of our students would not have thought about before.
I would love for each of you to touch on the following points during your particular segment: - Subjects you studied and how they are (or aren't!) relevant to your current job - What inspired you to choose your current careers path? - A brief summary of your company and your role within it - What do you enjoy most about your career? - What is one thing you would say to young women and girls thinking of entering your line of work?
The presentations will most likely be given to Key Stage 3, so please ensure that your talks are tailored to an age group of around 11-14.
I look forward to hearing from you!
