Event description

Career Pathways to Inspire

This event will take place as part of our annual Year 12 Employability Day, which provides opportunities for students to have encounters with employers and gain insights into career pathways, as well as preparing for their next steps into the world of work through CV workshops etc.
The timeslot is one of four available on the day - this would be our preferred slot, but we also have 11.05-12.05, 12.10-1.10 and 2.10-3.10 as possibilities.

In this session, business volunteers will share insights, lessons and tips to motivate and inspire your students to make informed decisions about their future.

-Speakers will "tell a story" about their career journey:

Subjects they studied and how these are relevant now

-What inspired them to choose their career path

-Their failures, as well as successes

-What their company does and why this is important

  • What they enjoy most about their career

-Skills currently relevant in the jobs they are doing now."
