Invitation to Participate in Year 12 Careers Event – Mock Interviews & World Café Session

Good afternoon

I am reaching out to see if you might be able to help with a careers event taking place later this term at The Piggott School.

Every year we hold mock interviews for Year 12 students as a chance for them to experience a formal interview and prepare a CV.
We are holding these on 9th, 10th and 11th July 2025, and wondered if you’d like to participate?

This year we are also conducting a World Café Career Carousel where professionals from a range of industries will host small-group conversations with rotating student groups.

An overview of the day would be as follows:

  1. Morning: Mock Interviews – 9.00am – 1.00pm
We are looking for professionals to conduct short mock interviews with students (approximately 20 minutes each), followed by brief feedback. You will see approximately 7 students throughout the morning. These interviews help students gain confidence and improve their real world interview skills. We will provide a proforma for interviewers to help frame the conversation.

  2. Afternoon: World Café Career Carousel – 1.30pm – 2.30pm
This informal, discussion-based session involves students rotating in small groups between tables hosted by professionals from various industries. Each table host will chat with 5–8 students for 10–15 minutes at a time, sharing insights about their career path, industry, and advice for young people exploring future options.

We would be delighted if you could join us for either or both parts of any of the days listed (light refreshments will be provided!). Your involvement would provide valuable guidance to our students and offer your organisation a meaningful opportunity to engage with young, motivated individuals preparing for their next steps.

Please do let me know if you might be able to assist! I would be very grateful.

Best wishes,

Anna Giacomet
