Careers Fair at St Michael's Catholic College
I do hope you are able to attend our Careers Fair scheduled for Friday 11th July. I've included below a rough plan for the day.
The sessions will run as follows:
From 8:30am: entry, tea, set-up. Each representative/group of representatives will have their own desk and chairs. There is space for Banners &/or other promotional material.
9.00-10.00: Year 9/10 and sixth form students will circulate and talk to individual representatives.
10:00-11:00: Year 8/7 students circulate and talk to individual representatives
11:00-11.15: BREAK: coffee and sandwiches.
11.15-12.15: “Careers Speed Dating”. Groups of younger students will circulate, asking quick fire questions in shorter meetings to get an understanding of roles and careers.
In these session, business volunteers will share insights, lessons and tips to motivate and inspire your students to make informed decisions about their future.
There will be around 150 students in each session (you won’t have to talk to all of them).
Our school is located in Bermondsey around a 5-minute walk from Bermondsey station (Jubilee line) or a 15-minute walk from London Bridge (main line and tube stations).
We do also have other sessions/slots on Wednesday 9th , Thursday 10th and Friday 11th . These hour long sessions will take a different format - ie classroom based with around 25 to 30 students where representatives can present their own personal journey in their chosen careers - ie a more personal presentation to smaller groups of students.
