Event description

Inspire our students with our careers speed networking event at Grey Court comprehensive school

"In this session, business volunteers will share insights, lessons and tips to motivate and inspire your students to make informed decisions about their future.
It's an event with our year 9 students (ages 13-14) who are looking at their GCSE options but thinking about future careers. We run this event to open our students eyes to the range of career pathways out there.

The event runs all day but if you can give up a couple of hours for one of the sessions, the day runs as follows:
Welcome refreshments & set up 8.30-8.45am
Session 1 – 8.45am – 10.00am
Break 10-10.15am
Session 2 - 10.15am – 11.30am
Lunch 11.30-12.15pm - guests will be provided with lunch so please confirm if you will be staying for lunch & if you have any dietary requirements
Session 3 - 12.15pm – 1.30pm
Session 4 – 1.30pm – 2.45pm

Speakers will tell a story about their career journey:
-Subjects they studied and how these are relevant now
-What inspired them to choose their career path
-Their failures, as well as successes
- What they enjoy most about their career
- What their company does and why this is important
- Skills currently relevant in the jobs they are doing now

It is a really rewarding day so we hope you can be involved.
