Join Us for a Skills-Based Career Speed Dating Event
We’re inviting enthusiastic professionals to inspire the next generation during a fun and meaningful Career Speed Dating event focused on transferable skills.
What’s the event about?
- When: Thursday 23rd January, arrival from 8:30am, session runs from 9:00am – 12:15pm
- Where: Longbenton High School, NE12 8ER
- Who: 180 Year 7 pupils (ages 11-12) eager to learn about the skills that shape careers!
In small, rotating groups, pupils will ask questions and explore how transferable skills are used across different industries. Each interaction will last roughly 5 minutes, making this an engaging and dynamic experience for everyone.

What we ask of you:
- Before the event, we will provide you with the list of skills so you can think about when you have used these prior to the session.
- You can bring company banners and any visual tools if you think this would help.
Refreshments will be provided to keep you fueled throughout the morning.
