Event description

Reach for the Stars! Be Inspired! Step outside of your comfort zone! Believe in you! It's yours for the taking! Seize the moment! You can!

Radio City School (formerly Aspire Education) provides education for pupils from 8-18yrs old. Many of our pupils have found mainsteam education uninspiring, challenging and stressful. In adidition, most of our 9 pupils have additional support needs and have experienced trauma and family issues from early on in their lives. These factors added more barriers to their success within education, thus far.

At Radio City School we support our pupils to achieve their dreams and to be all they hope to become in their learning, life and work. We hope our Careers Event (with the speakers help) can inspire our pupils to reach for their stars and to put their negative start to the side or behind them and let themselves shine!

In the Speakers session, business volunteers will share insights, lessons and tips to motivate and inspire our pupils to make informed decisions about their future.

Speakers will tell a story about their career journey:

-Subjects they studied and how these are relevant now

-What inspired them to choose their career path

  • Their failures, as well as successes

-What their company does and why this is important

-What they enjoy most about their career

-Skills currently relevant in the jobs they are doing now."

Throughout the day we will also have input from our Careers Advisor from Skills Development Scotland .
Our pupils and staff will also be invited to share some of their stories and aspirations.
There will be a buffet and refreshments available to all attendees.
Many Thanks
Louise Coleman
