The event was created by Priya Madani for 100 students at Alec Reed Academy aged Age 17 - 18.

Event description

We would like the guest speakers to come in for an assembly during this week as it is careers week. It would be useful if the speakers provide insight into different careers and how you got to your position.

"In this session, business volunteers will share insights, lessons and tips to motivate and inspire your students to make informed decisions about their future.

Speakers will ‘tell a story’ about their career journey:

• Subjects they studied and how these are relevant now

• What inspired them to choose their career path

• Their failures, as well as successes

• What their company does and why this is important

• What they enjoy most about their career

• Skills currently relevant in the jobs they are doing now."
