The event was created by Giorgia Ruggiero for 75 students at The Holy Cross School aged Age 13 - 15.

Event description

Maths4Girls

In this 1 hour session, business leaders will share insights, lessons and tips to motivate and inspire your students to make informed decisions about their future.

Speakers will ‘tell a story’ about their career journey (up to 10mins):
• How maths played a part and how maths is relevant now
• What inspired them to choose their career path
• Their failures, as well as successes
• What their company does and why this is important
• What they enjoy most about their career
• Skills currently relevant in the jobs they are doing now.

Q&As will follow to end the session.

This is a session aimed at top 3 sets in year 9, with the aim of inspiring the girls to pursue a Maths related career.
