Event description

STEM Careers Morning

This session is targeted at primary age pupils ages 5-12

This session is to Inspire our pupils, and demonstrate the wide variety of STEM based careers and also help break gender stereotyping. Providing awareness of the wide range of careers in the wider world of work.

Our school is hosting a STEM week to promote the importance of STEM Careers in the wider world of work; the aim of this activity is to enhance our pupils' knowledge of STEM Careers, and make them aware of the variety of different skills that are required.

The event will take place in our school gym hall where you will be responsible for a small “stall”. Each class will be allocated a time slot to come in and speak with you and our other volunteers about their career.

Plan:
• Children will begin to arrive in the hall from 9:15; this will give you time to set up anything you may bring.
• There will two classes in the hall at a time
• The event will finish around 10:30
• The children will circulate the ‘stalls’ asking appropriate questions or taking part in any tasks/demonstrations you may have
• Pictures will be taken throughout the event to be put on our school twitter

If you have any equipment, posters, flyers etc. you would like to bring to make your stall ‘stand out’ then please bring them with you on the day.

Thank you in advance for your support.
