The event was created by Sophie Stock for 50 students at Home Farm Primary School aged Age 11 - 11.

Event description

Inspire our students in using STEAM (science, technology, engineering, Art and mathematics) in future careers.

In this careers fair event, business volunteers will share insights, experience and tips to excite, motivate and inspire our students throughout the year groups at our Primary School (ranging from 5-11). The aim is to guide the children to make informed decisions about their future involving careers that use STEAM (covertly or overtly).

Speakers will a tell a story about their career journey, which may include:

• Subjects they studied before career and how these are relevant now




• What inspired them to choose their career path




• Their failures, as well as successes

  
  

  • What their company does and why this is important

  
  

  • What they enjoy most about their career

  
  

  • Skills currently relevant in the jobs they are doing now.

  
  

Children may then want to ask individual questions.
