Event description

Women in Business
Breakfast meeting
8:00 - 9:15

This Women in Business event aims to help our Year 13s to be empowered in the work place, to have the confidence to apply for jobs where they don't meet 100% of the criteria and to thrive in their lives and careers.

I would also like them to know what a good employer looks like and what they should consider when they are researching organisations to work for in the future.

Topics can include:

What do you have to offer an employer?
What are employers looking for?
Having the confidence to apply for positions they don't meet 100% of the criteria
Imposter Syndrome (Belonging, confidence, bravery)
What does a 'good' employer look like?
How to find them?
What makes them good?

Depending on the response from volunteers, this can either be lead and delivered by one person, or as a collaboration. I would like students to complete a couple of tasks or for there to be audience participation so they aren't just listening to a presentation for an hour.

Please not the times of the event - 8:00 - 9:15. Hot drinks and pastries will be provided.
