CAREERS FAIR

CAREERS FAIR HELD AT OUR SCHOOL (FROM 2-4) GIVING OUR STUDENTS THE OPPORTUNITY TO HELP DEVELOP THEIR UNDERSTANDING OF THE MANY CAREER OPTIONS AVAILABLE TO THEM. YOU WILL BE GIVEN A TABLE FOR YOUR USE TOGETHER WITH A DISPLAY BOARD FOR ANY MATERIAL YOU MAY WISH TO DISPLAY OR HAND OUT. STUDENTS WILL MEET EACH REPRESENTATIVE TO FIND OUT ABOUT THE SKILLS AND QUALITIES REQUIRED IN RELATION TO EACH CAREER PATH. THEY MAY HAVE QUESTIONS TO ASK ABOUT YOUR CAREER/PROFESSION.

Speakers will ‘tell a story’ about their career journey:

• Subjects they studied and how these are relevant now

• What inspired them to choose their career path

• Their failures, as well as successes

• What their company does and why this is important

• What they enjoy most about their career

• Skills currently relevant in the jobs they are doing now."
