Inspire our students at our Primary Careers fair
As part of our Personal Development curriculum and our careers and futures week next half term, we are going to be running another successful careers fair within the primary phase. This is an exciting opportunity to introduce our children to the world of work and start to build their aspirations for what they might want to explore when they leave education. Our plan is to introduce children to our local labour market whilst also broadening their awareness of types of jobs beyond our community.
How can you help?
On Wednesday 17th April 2024 we will be setting up our hall with stalls showcasing different careers, therefore we are asking for volunteers to talk about their current job, for example:
• What does your job look like? What do you do?
• What is good about your job? Job satisfaction?
• What are the challenges in your job?
• How did you become……?
• What advice would you give someone who wants to do this job?
Details:
The fair will run from 9-2.45pm and refreshments will be provided throughout the day as well as lunch. Our Fundamental Offer Lead and Academy staff will be with the children to guide them around the fair as they find out all about the careers. Each career will have its own stall so please bring along any resources to display.
If you have any further contacts that could support us on this day, please let us know.
Thank you in advance for your support in what we hope will be a very successful and powerful day for our children, really making a difference!
