The event was created by Bernie Corrighan for 250 students at Grey Court School aged Age 15 - 17.
Event description
Year 9 Careers networking - give up just 2 hours of your time on Tues 5th March!
Year 9 are currently looking at their options and this speed networking session always business volunteers will share insights, lessons and tips to motivate and inspire our students to make informed decisions about their future.
Students will be in small groups and move around the room every 5-6 mins (hence speed networking. Speakers will tell a story about their career journey including:
Subjects they studied and how these are relevant now
What inspired them to choose their career path
Their failures, as well as successes
What their company does and why this is important
What they enjoy most about their career
Skills currently relevant in the jobs they are doing now
It's a great day - it takes place all day between 8.45am-3pm however there are 2 hour sessions. If you are interested please express an interest and I can share more details.
