Event description

International Women's Day

Ark Tindal is excited to celebrate International Women's Day on Monday, March 4th, 2024! This is a day to recognise and celebrate the achievements of women around the world, and we want to do our part by inspiring the next generation of female leaders.

Guest Speakers

Throughout the afternoon, we will be welcoming a number of guest speakers to the school. These inspiring women will share their journeys in life, education, and their careers. They will serve as role models for our pupils, and especially our girls, to look up to.

The speakers will talk about their experiences, challenges, and successes, ‘telling a story’ about their career journey:

• How maths played a part and how maths is relevant now
• What inspired them to choose their career path
• Their failures, as well as successes
• What their company does and why this is important
• What they enjoy most about their career
• Skills currently relevant in the jobs they are doing now.

They will also offer advice and encouragement to the pupils as they pursue their own dreams. Following each talk, there will be a Q&A session where the pupils can ask questions.
