The event was created by Robyn Wallace for 100 students at Meridian High School aged Age 11 - 15.
Event description
Inspire our students
We are hosting a Personal Development day where we would like to educate our students about careers and different routes to get there.
We would like 3 1 hour assemblies, 1 to Year 7, 1 to Year 9 and 1 to Year 10 where business volunteers share insights, lessons and tips to motivate and inspire our students to make informed decisions about their future.
Speakers can share a bit about their career journey
Subjects they studied and how these are relevant now,
What inspired them to choose their career path,
Their failures, as well as successes, What their company does and why this is important
What they enjoy most about their career
Skills currently relevant in the jobs they are doing now.
