The event was created by Dan Course for 150 students at Castle Manor Academy aged Age 15 - 16.

Event description

‘Mock Interview Day’. Our event was well-received last year and prepared students for their post-16 learning interviews.

With the support of just 25 volunteers, we can ensure that every Year 11 student can attend a mock interview and meet an employee for 20 minutes. As part of this, we have planned for each student to experience a 15-minute interview, followed by 5 minutes of feedback from the interviewer. It is our intention, wherever possible, to match our student’s future career aspirations to their volunteer interviewer.

For the two weeks leading up to the event, our students will be constructing their CVs, as well as receiving learning tips and techniques on how to conduct themselves during a face-to-face interview. In allowing this additional working and preparation time, we know that our students and volunteers will have a meaningful and beneficial activity.
