Inspire our students - Subject Choice Week
Online Session
Social Subjects - We’re looking for somebody to talk about the benefits of social studies subjects and the pathways they can lead to – these subjects tend to have less clear career pathways than other subjects such as science so we would like students to get some ideas on what could be possible.
In this session, business volunteers will share insights, lessons and tips to motivate and inspire your students to make informed decisions about their future.
Speakers will tell a story about their career journey and how the subject you chose got you there:
Subjects they studied and how these are relevant now
What inspired them to choose their career path
Their failures, as well as successes
What their company does and why this is important
What they enjoy most about their career
Skills currently relevant in the jobs they are doing now.
