About the teacher and students

The event was created by Jess Hill for 50 students at Oxford Brookes University aged Age 17 - 18.

Event description

Inspire our students to help them understand their Higher Education options, including apprenticeships!

This session will form a part of an 'Alternative HE' event for Y12 and Y13 and first year Level 3 students, to help them understand all of their options for leaving schools / college and inspire and inform them on what may be best for them.

Taking place at Oxford Brookes University, Headington, we're please looking for x 2 30 min sessions, delivered back to back, that will look at apprenticeships, including degree apprenticeships.

The session may include giving an overview of what an apprenticeship is and the subjects/industries that offer them, showcasing current apprenticeship opportunities within your local community or explaining the pathways that an apprenticeship can lead to for young people either in general or within a particular sector. If you'd like to talk about your own personal experience as an apprentice or if your company offers apprenticeships, especially those at degree level, that would be brilliant.

Thank you in advance for your help.

Best wishes,
Jess
