About the teacher and students

The event was created by Louise Bateman for 50 students at St Vincent College aged Age 16 - 17.

Event description

Inspire our students

My Name is Louise Bateman, I work for St Vincent College as the Careers Progression Mentor. At St Vincent College, a key part of our curriculum is around progression, and giving our students an insight into Higher Education/Apprenticeships and what is available to them after they leave College. As a part of this I would like to invite you to our Industry Talk Event which is running from Monday 6th November to 10th November 2023. The purpose of Industry Week is to give students the opportunity to hear from a host of employers and industry experts in the field of work they might want to progress in later in their future, this is a fantastic opportunity for students to see a range of professionals and what opportunities are out there.

It would be an honour to have your presence at this event, you would not need to attend all week. All I would ask is if you could give us an hour of your time, I appreciate that giving up time out of the business for you this kind of activity can sometime be challenging, but having run this programme last year, the impact of the sessions on raising the profiles of the businesses in the local community as well as the distinct possibilities of identifying future talent are strong compensating factors.

If this is something you feel you can support please could you let me know what day would work for you. If you would like any further information, please contact myself via lbateman@stvincent.ac.uk
