Event description

Careers Fair - Inspire our students

Good afternoon

Exciting news - Our Careers Fair is back and better than ever!!

Last year was a great success and we have taken on board comments from exhibitors to make improvements.

The Fair will take place on Wednesday 18th October 2023 at Alderwood Senior School, Aldershot, GU12 4AS.

The plan is to take a year group at a time to the main hall and challenge them to find information about three careers they are interested in. There are around 165 pupils in each of the year groups (year 7 to 11).

Essentially it would require employers/organisations to bring a stand of information (the school will provide the tables) and preferably a couple of people to talk about what they do, the industry they are involved in, and the qualifications required for specific careers etc.

The Fair itself would run from 8.30am to 12pm (in line with the school timetable). Access to the school site for set up would be available from 7.30am. Refreshments (tea/coffee, fruit and pastries) will be provided.
I would like to thank you on behalf of our pupils, who will gain so much from your input to this initiative - it really will help to inspire our young people!

Kind regards,

Gemma
