Event description

Inspire underserved and underrepresented primary school students.

At the Institute of Imagination, we live broadcast STEAM workshops to underserved schools in the UK. We work with schools with high pupil premium, free school meals and English as an additional language. Children take part in workshops on the circular economy. Using natural inks, junk bots, and stop-motion animation, students learn how to transform waste materials into something valuable. As a celebration, all the schools taking part join a live 'Show and Tell' broadcast to showcase their makes. It's a one-hour session where students get to celebrate their imagination and creativity.

We need your help to inspire the next generation to reach for the stars! Spend 5-10 minutes telling primary school children about your work and how you use your imagination and creativity to do it. If you have more time, stick around for a quick Q&A, and feedback on the student's creations.

Aspiration is an important aspect of our impact at the iOi, and having real examples will encourage them to aim high. We would love to have your support!
