After 20 years in senior leadership roles and board level positions within the IT, manufacturing and consulting industries, Clare now practices as an independent consultant using her extensive business and organisational transformation experience to assist her clients consolidate and grow their businesses through individual coaching, facilitation and training. Clare also acts as a mentor for both adults and teenagers supporting and encouraging them to develop the skills and competencies they need to succeed in their careers, to improve their confidence and achieve their potential. Clare holds a BSc in Applied Physics an MSc in Manufacturing Management & Systems and a Diploma in Business Economics. The event was created by Katie Winwood for 150 students at Hadlow Rural Community School aged Age 11 - 13.

Event description

Maths4Girls

In this 1 hour session, business leaders will share insights, lessons and tips to motivate and inspire your students to make informed decisions about their future.

Speakers will ‘tell a story’ about their career journey (up to 10mins):
• How maths played a part and how maths is relevant now
• What inspired them to choose their career path
• Their failures, as well as successes
• What their company does and why this is important
• What they enjoy most about their career
• Skills currently relevant in the jobs they are doing now.

Q&As will follow to end the session.
