About the teacher and students

The event was created by Michaela Eschbach for 200 students at Cambourne Village College aged Age 12 - 13.

Event description

Entrepreneur day for year 8

Entrepreneur day
2 x 2 Hours
Attention-this event follows a different time phrase and concept!

the whole year group (210 students) will participate whilst you will primarily deal with 30 students.

The idea of this event is to introduce students to entrepreneurship and show them what it is all about.
08:45 - 10:45
Students will be grouped in groups of 5-6
They have to develop a business idea (either product or service) and develop a Logo, think about potential customers, product pricing etc.
There will be 4-6 groups in a single classroom.
You, being a experienced entrepreneur are joining the classroom, supporting the groups in their entrepreneurial thinking. You support them throughout the two hours.
approx 11 - 1pm The students will set up a fair where they can showcase their ideas to fellow students and to you. You are invited to judge these ideas discuss with the teachers the best ideas, creativity, professionalism etc. Students will also give a 3 minute pitch to you of their idea.
The students will have a session lessons learned and price giving session. It would be nice if one volunteer could join in to give a little speech and give the prices to the students.
More detailed briefing notes and exact timings will be provided upon your registration and nearer the time.
Should you have any questions, please let me know.

Thank you
Michaela
