Event description

Inspire our students Speed Networking Event for Year 12

"In this session, business volunteers will share insights, lessons and tips to motivate and inspire your students to make informed decisions about their future.

Speed Networking event on 5th July, for our Year 12 students. It will run from 9am until 11 am and will be very informal. You will be sat at a table and every 10/15mins the students will move around the tables and the ask you questions about your career path and what you do. Some may be quiet so you may need to prompt them.

All I need from you is your name, job title, where you work, work email address and a short biography of you and your career path. Just a paragraph.

If you know anyone else who would be interested please can you forward this to them as I am looking for a complete range of careers.

Speakers will ‘tell a story’ about their career journey:

• Subjects they studied and how these are relevant now

• What inspired them to choose their career path

• Their failures, as well as successes

• What their company does and why this is important

• What they enjoy most about their career

• Skills currently relevant in the jobs they are doing now."
