Careers Insight - Offshore Wind Renewable Energy

Vattenfall, together with Founders4Schools, is hosting a careers fair for pupils to learn about careers in offshore wind through an interactive workshop with employers that can lead to work placements and apprenticeships.
Vattenfall is one of Europe’s largest producers and retailers of electricity and heat with the goal to enable fossil-free living within one generation.
Students will:
-Learn about the variety of careers available in the offshore wind industry
-Have the opportunity to speak directly with employers which could lead to work experience placements and apprenticeships.
Event Details
Event: Offshore Wind Industry Awareness Day
Date: 26th June 2023, during Wind Week 2023
Time: 09:00 – 16:00 hrs, each high school will be allocated 1hr to interact with all the partners
Target: All S4, S5, and S6 pupils in high schools and students in colleges and university in Aberdeen City, Aberdeenshire, Angus, Moray, Highlands and Dundee City
Venue: Elphinstone Hall, University of Aberdeen
Cost: Free for all attendees
Transportation: Funding is available for schools in need of buses
