The event was created by Angela Manley for 500 students at Stratton Upper School aged Age 13 - 14.

Event description

Maths4Girls - Inspire female students to consider a Career in Maths.

In this 30 minute session, business leaders will share insights, lessons and tips to motivate and inspire female students to make informed decisions about their future. Please could the event start at 8.45 for 30 mins that would be great (assembly time slot)

Speakers will ‘tell a story’ about their career journey (up to 10mins):
• How maths played a part and how maths is relevant now
• What inspired them to choose their career path
• Their failures, as well as successes
• What their company does and why this is important
• What they enjoy most about their career
• Skills currently relevant in the jobs they are doing now.

Q&As will follow to end the session.
