The event was created by Amanda Riley for 25 students at North East Centre for Autism - Aycliffe School aged Age 11 - 14.

Event description

Class of 6 students all with ASD diagnosis. Students range from 11-14 and are developing an understanding of careers and oppertunities.

In this session, business volunteers will share insights, lessons and tips to motivate and inspire your students to make informed decisions about their future.

Speakers will share their career journey and educatioal pathways including any barriers.
What inspired them to choose their career path, their failures, as well as successes.
What their company does and why this is important.
What they enjoy most about their career.
Skills currently relevant in the jobs they are doing now.

Students focus in class is particularly on how ICT/ Coding/ computer skills can be utilised in the world of work.
