Event description
Careers speed dating and mock interviews
St Joseph's Catholic Academy is hosting a careers day on Tuesday 4th, July 2023, between 10 am - 2 pm. We will have Year 9 and Year 10 students attending throughout the day, looking at future careers, skills and employers. We aim for our Year 9 students to get quality interactions with local employers and training providers and for some Year 10 students to get the chance to engage in mock interviews.
We will have 230 Year 9 students and around 50 Year 10 students attending. You will have the opportunity to support us in providing some genuine experience with the world of work and the chance to publicise your organisation to potential future students and employees.
The morning will be for Year 9. This will run in a 'speed dating' format, so small groups of students will sit down with you and have prepared questions to ask about your organisation. You'll be able to see a significant number of our students in this format, and the questions will be shared with you in advance.
The afternoon will be with Year 10. These interviews will be with some of our students looking at apprenticeships and colleges in early Year 11 who need interview experience.
