Event description

Careers Panel at an All Girls School - Maths4Girls

In this 1 hour session, business leaders will share insights, lessons and tips to motivate and inspire your students to make informed decisions about their future.

I would like each speaker to provide me with 4 questions to ask them if students are hesitating to ask anything. The speaker must have studied Maths at Level 3 (this could be A Level Maths, Further Maths or Core Maths) and be willing to emphasise the benefit it had in their career journey.

Speakers will have a 15 minutes slot to ‘tell a story’ about their career journey (5-10 minutes presentation followed by time for Q&A):
• How maths played a part and how maths is relevant now
• What inspired them to choose their career path
• Their failures, as well as successes
• What their company does and why this is important
• What they enjoy most about their career
• Skills currently relevant in the jobs they are doing now.

Q&As will follow to end of each presentation.
