About the teacher and students

The event was created by Janet Douglas for 300 students at Queen Elizabeth's Girls' School aged Age 15 - 17.

Event description

Inspire our year 10 students to continue with their Maths students to A level. Relay how important maths is as a subject and explain how you use maths in your career.

A careers event for our Year 10 and 12 students which involves a speed dating session and then students are rotated around different class rooms to learn about more specific careers related information. We would love for you to come and talk to our students about how important maths is and how you use/ have used in in your careers. Also to encourage students to continue to study maths. Also to talk about their individual career path. Ideally we would like to have 2 or 3 volunteers based in a classroom to deliver the session to 35 students at a time . The session would need to be delivered 3 times to reach all of our students.
