Event description

Where Maths Meets the World of Work.

In this session, business volunteers will share insights on how Maths is used in their jobs and careers.

We are looking to motivate Year 10 students from local schools who might be wondering how the Maths they study in school will help them in the "real-world". By hearing from a variety of business volunteers we are hoping that they will discover how versatile and useful it really is in day to day activities.

The day is broken down in to 30 minute sessions and you'd be very welcome to attend as many as you'd like.

Each session would have a broad overview of your career to date and what your company does, followed by an example of how maths skills are used in your work.

If you have a task that involves these skills, that would be great.

Thank you so much for your consideration.
