Women in STEM at Arnold Lodge School: Inspire our students to investigate a career in STEM!
Create a routes and pathways event to inform and inspire young people considering the vast array of potential careers available to them. This may include showcasing current job opportunities within your local community or explaining the pathways that young people can take to obtain a job within a particular sector i.e. university, college, apprenticeship, or other employability schemes.
The session is currently being organised as part of a Women in STEM programme organised over 8 weeks or so. Many of our pupils are unaware of the opportunities and routes available to them and would be interested to know how the ambassadors found themselves in their roles and the steps they took to get there. The girls are in Years 7 to 9 and have all been selected as showing excellent potential to succeed in STEM.
