Event description

Inspire our students

"In this session, business volunteers will share insights, lessons and tips to motivate and inspire your students to make informed decisions about their future.

We would like to inspire our students, giving them exposure to different careers available to them and inspiration around job opportunities, higher education opportunities or apprenticeships and to get students excited and motivated by future prospects.

About the day:
We would like our volunteers to talk to students about their profession and your career pathways and any advice they may have. Please feel free to bring any information booklets or anything that might engage students or any activities that you might want to do with our students.

About the audience:
This will be a whole school careers fair from Year 7-11 and students will be attending in Year groups with around 140 students attending at any one time.
Our year 11 students have applied or are applying for further education so being able to hear from professionals and employers who have similar experience to them. Whereas for you year 7 students it will be really great for them to hear and learn about a range to different sectors to start thinking about connecting careers to education.

Where and when:
The activity will start at 12 and run through until 4pm on Thursday 30th March. We will be providing a stall and chairs and the event will take place in our sports hall. We will also have student helpers providing tea and coffee during breaks and we have plenty of parking near the school.
