The event was created by Maria Docherty for 75 students at Oakgrove Primary School aged Age 9 - 11.

Event description

Help our girls believe and to trust in their skills and talents. As women excelling in maths, you will be truly inspirational.

"In this session, business volunteers will share insights, lessons and tips to motivate and inspire your students to make informed decisions about their future.

Depending on how many speakers we can secure, we will run this as a mini careers events. Small groups of pupils will carousel around the room meeting individual speakers and have the opportunity to hear about your own pathway and career. Children will have the chance to ask questions such as:
-Subjects you studied and how these are relevant now
-what inspired you
-your failures, as well as successes
- the importance of your role
-what you enjoy about your career
Skills currently relevant in the jobs you are doing now."
