Event description

Woodhouse College Careers event - inspire our students and help them identify and gain skills needed for employment

This sessions is about enabling young people to make their own decisions and to take responsibility for their own lives and communities. These events help students learn a range of attributes to boost employability, develop the personal skills, qualities and attitudes needs to success post-education and prepare them for the world of work. In addition to this, students can gain an in-depth understanding of why integral skills such as resilience, conflict resolution, interpersoanl skills and independence are important within the workplace.

The workshops will form part of our careers day, where there will be stands with different employers and a series of talks/workshops. We are looking for inspiring individuals to help us in any capacity, and are fairly flexible with regards to the workshops, as long as they are inspiring and help broaden students' horizons and/or help them gain further insights into what skills and strengths are need for employment.
