Event description

STEM Week at Fintry Primary School

I hope this email finds you well.

Since 2017, we have hosted a STEM Week within our setting to build STEM Capital and I am getting in touch to see if you would consider participating in our STEM Week this year in February.

Our STEM Week will take place Monday 20th February – Friday 24th February (inclusive) and aims to work alongside local companies to provide opportunities for the children to explore different STEM sectors, spark an interest and become aware of future career paths.

This event has been a huge success in the past four years with children, staff and visitors having a brilliant week.

Ways in which you may wish to participate in our STEM Week are:
- Give a Presentation about your career and have a Q&A
- Give a short presentation and Q&A and ask the children to complete a follow up activity
- Set the children a challenge relating to your career
- Send in a video/recording for the children to watch about your career

Within our past STEM Weeks, sessions have lasted for around about an hour to an hour and a half, with some visitors opting to work with more than one class throughout their time with us. However, there is no pressure to do this. We greatly appreciate any engagement and understand that your schedules are very busy and are more than happy to have shorter sessions.

If you would like to know more about our STEM Week or wish to get involved please get in touch via this email address, by telephone on 01382 307840, or complete the attached form via this link no later than Friday 10th February 2023 - https://forms.office.com/e/GyAQGPEKuy

Kind Regards

Jayne Mays
