Event description

Crestwood Community - STEM careers fair

Exciting opportunity to help inspire pupils to pursue careers in STEM.

My name is Sam, and I am one of the STEM coordinators at Crestwood Community School in Eastleigh.

We are holding a STEM careers fair later this academic year on 7th and 8th March 2023, in order to inspire our pupils to pursue careers in STEM. This will be a unique opportunity to grab the attention of our pupils with the ways in which STEM is applicable to their lives and the world around them, whilst also providing the opportunities for our pupils to ask questions about careers within your, and similar, predominantly local, organisations. We also have backing from local journalists to cover the event to inform the local community.

We believe that companies, such as yourselves, would wish to be involved in this exciting opportunity to contribute to the future of the field, as part of our continuing corporate social responsibility.

The aim of the fair is to inform pupils of what careers are available in the STEM field, whilst encouraging our pupils to aspire to achieve beyond what they believe they are capable of achieving.

We would provide you with a table at the fair, where every single pupil would get the opportunity to come and speak with two representatives from your company, to hear about careers in STEM. Our expectation is that you would provide a short visual or demonstration to catch their attention and help to begin conversations as they walk round the stalls. Some companies would also provide leaflets and merchandise for pupils to takeaway.
