Event description

Trading Places (final project name tbc!)

An exciting six week 'Stepping into Business-inspired' project involving Year 6 girls (10-11yr olds). With a specific budget, they will be challenged to design, manufacture and market a product which will be sold at Kensington Prep Trade Fair. They will be working in groups of 5/6 and take it in turns to lead their team. The aim is to ensure the girls are actively learning, engaged and developing life skills beyond the curriculum- we aim to bring learning to life!
Key skills are linked to the school's vision of educating and preparing girls for the future. They include: financial awareness; independence and collaboration; innovation and creativity; planning and presentation skills; resilience and reflectiveness.
We think an essential part of the project is for the girls to meet men and women who can inspire them to think beyond the classroom, to share what it means to be passionate about their career, successful and motivated as well as view themselves as a lifelong learner. We hope you will accept our invitation to be part of this exciting project.
