Event description

Careers Fair - Lesmahagow High School

At Lesmahagow High School, the careers fair will be part of a whole month of career-focused activities, which will support pupils in making their options choices.

Lesmahagow HS Career Fairs have always been a tremendous success, with over 30 stands available for our young people to gain more information about the world of work, from universities, colleges, training providers, major national employers, local employers, and self-employed business people from the local community.

This will be the first Careers Fair the school will host since the COVID-19 pandemic, and I hoped you might be able to attend to help increase their knowledge on the variety of career opportunities open to them, and to help them appreciate the variety of different pathways into the workplace.

Further details will be sent before the end of term, however, the draft programme for the day is as follows:
1.00 – 1.15 pm - Registration
1.15 – 1.30 pm - Welcome
1.30 – 2.10 pm - Lunch

2.10 – 2.20 pm – Set up
2.20 – 3.30 pm – Careers fair – pupils
3.30 – 3.45 pm – Tea/Coffee break
3.45 – 4.15 pm - Careers fair – parent/carers/pupils

4.15 – 4.30 pm - Close
I would be delighted if you could attend on January 19th. However, please feel free to pass on my email or contact details (gw11iqbaliasha@glow.sch.uk) to whoever you feel is most suited to supporting the school.
I look forward to hearing from you!
