About the teacher and students

The event was created by Angie Patterson for 350 students at Monkseaton High School aged Age 15 - 16.

Event description

Mock Interview event @ St James' Park - Motivate, inspire & equip students for the world of work

350 year 11 students will be taking part in a mock interview event at St James’ Park, Newcastle.

Employers will spend around 15 minutes interviewing students using a set of generic questions which will be provided. Once the interview is finished, a feedback form will need to be completed and you will then spend a few minutes providing the students with constructive feedback.

Prior to the event we will ask you to send a job description so that the students can 'apply' for a specific role and imitate the whole recruitment process as closely as possible.

The sessions prove to be an enjoyable and useful experience for both students and employers and these events are also great at raising a company and career profile amongst the students as well as providing an invaluable and meaningful experience for the young people.

The event is on Friday 13th January. We're asking ambassadors to arrive by 8.30am and the event will finish by 4.15pm, however if you can only do half a day (either am or pm) then that is fine.

Lunch and refreshments will be provided.
