About the Business Leaders

These business leaders have been chosen because their companies are growing quickly.

About the teacher and students

The event was created by I9l55czpptjfqytjnfyraf for 25 students at The Richmond upon Thames School aged Age 16 - 18.

Event description

Sightlines to Careers - Interactions with professionals help students to see for themselves what they are learning as part of their programmes of study, develop employability skills appropriate for their sector, and receive career direction for the future.

Engaging with our students, which may involve, but not confined to, professional talk, masterclass, CV evaluation and interview exercises.

"In this session, business volunteers will share insights, lessons and tips to motivate and inspire your students to make informed decisions about their future.

Speakers will ‘tell a story’ about their career journey:

• Subjects they studied and how these are relevant now

• What inspired them to choose their career path

• Their failures, as well as successes

• What their company does and why this is important

• What they enjoy most about their career

• Skills currently relevant in the jobs they are doing now."
