Event description

St Luke's High school 'I can do anything day'

At St Luke's High school in Barrhead we want to inspire our S2 students by highlighting the variety of different careers which they can explore. We want to celebrate your career journey. Prior to S2 pupils picking subjects we are keen to raise awareness of different sectors.

Our annual event will be co-delivered by a team of 10 experience teachers with an invested interest in DYW. The first session will involve you work with 5 pupils in a speed dating setting. Pupils will ask you a variety of questions to capture your experience. The second session is a little more innovative. You will be paired up with 5 pupils once again who will be tasked with creating an eye catching presentation which showcases your skills and talents.

St Luke's High school is a comprehensive secondary school of 650 pupils in Barrhead, East Renfrewshire. For a number of years we have been developing Meta-skills across the school and aim to create innovative experiences where pupils can develop their Meta-skills in real-life contexts. We look forward to welcoming you to this event. Tasty treats will be provided throughout the day.
